A photo guide to your first setup

Connect your strap, one photo at a time

Work from the carabiner to the buckle, then adjust the length to a comfortable stance.

01 — Connect the strap

Follow each photo in order and compare the direction with your own setup.

  1. Slide on the swivel carabiner

Slide the swivel carabiner onto the strap. Aligning it with the buckle lever makes assembly easier.

  2. Thread the upper platform slot

Pass the loose end all the way through the upper slot of the platform, as shown.

  3. Keep the buckle lever facing out

Before threading the next slot, check that the buckle lever faces outward from the platform.

  4. Thread back through the lower slot

Like threading a stitch, pass the loose end through the lower slot to connect the two slots.

  5. Keep the webbing flat

Turn the platform to check for twists. The strap should run flat, as shown in the photo.

  6. Enter opposite the lever

Feed the loose end into the buckle from the side opposite the lever. Use the next photo to check the direction after threading.

  7. Pull the end through

Pull the loose end through as shown. Check again that you have not threaded it backward from the lever side.

02 — A common mistake

This direction can let the strap slip

The photo below shows the wrong direction. Feeding the strap from the lever side can let it slip when pulled. Compare with photos 6–7 and rethread it.

03 — Fit your stance

Connected? Now adjust the length

Keep your knees slightly bent without rounding your back excessively. Find a comfortable stance that feels like pushing the platform away with your legs.

A reference stance on the platform with slightly bent knees and straight arms while checking strap length
This is the reference stance. Use the checks below to adjust your strap length.

Do your shoulders rise or elbows bend?

If you need to raise your shoulders or bend your arms to apply force, the strap is too long. Shorten it.

Are you hunched over or sitting too low?

If you are hunched over or feel as though you are sitting on an invisible chair, the strap is too short. Lengthen it.
